I had the honour of being invited for dinner at a friend’s house who possesses a particular gift for crafting the Marcella Hazan lasagna, one of my personal favourites. Delicately flavoured, pleasantly cheesed, and with a lovely layer of ricotta in the middle. One just cannot say no. Ever. 🙂

I brought the bottle of wine and unfortunately, the first one I had bought met an unfortunate end on the sidewalk. The second one worked just as well, though, thankfully. The lesson here? Make sure you have a solid bottomed bag when carrying bottles of wine. 🙂
