Venice Beach is positively lovely in mid-January, it seems. After a couple of hours of rollerblading amongst characters from all walks of life, we stopped on a grassy knoll to enjoy a gourmet little lunch.
- Picnic at Venice beach! A bevy of lovely fruits, fine cheeses, smoked spicy turkey sliced paper thin, artisanal multigrain bread, organic red pepper hummus and a quirky little salad of israeli couscous, cranberries and cilantro. Miam. Not shown here is a squeeze bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and some caramel crunch chocolate.
- Well, this is lovely: halve an avocado, fill it with a precocious couscous-cranberry salad and a dollop of blue cheese and excitement will ensue.
